Better through the menopause thanks to the femfeel app: BKK Pfalz launches partnership with the MEDICE Health Family

27.03.2025

With numerous symptoms, the menopause is a real challenge for many women: sleep disorders, hot flushes and mood swings can have a major impact on life. BKK Pfalz is now supporting its policyholders with the femfeel online course and the menopause app from the MEDICE Health Family.

Around two thirds of all women suffer from menopausal symptoms, which can last up to 15 years.

For many women, sleep disorders and insomnia are the first signs of hormonal changes, even before hot flushes, depressive moods or other typical symptoms occur. Unfortunately, the menopause is still a taboo subject for many women and they often don't know how to categorise their symptoms.

Better quality of life with femfeel

The femfeel app shows women how they can improve their quality of life during the menopause by adopting the right habits (diet, exercise, stress management). The centrepiece of the app is the certified online course ‘Progressive muscle relaxation for the menopause’, which contains short, varied units that can be easily integrated into everyday life. Scientific studies have shown that this method can help to alleviate typical menopausal symptoms.

‘With femfeel, we want to support women in midlife in increasing their well-being and focussing on their own health prevention,’ explains Martina Stamm, press spokeswoman for BKK Pfalz.

Those insured with BKK Pfalz can use the prevention course within the femfeel app free of charge and also receive access to the app's premium content for six months: whether it's nutritional advice, pelvic floor training, tips for better sleep or immediate help for typical complaints.

‘Our aim is to improve the quality of life of women going through the menopause. With femfeel, we want to provide women with comprehensive knowledge about this phase of life and raise their awareness of possible complaints,’ emphasises Dr Katja Pütter-Ammer, Managing Partner of MEDICE.
