Medicovid SARS-CoV-2 IgG/IgM rapid test is an EU-licensed, CE-certified in-vitro diagnostic rapid test for the qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of IgM and IgG antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in human serum or whole blood (obtained via venipuncture). The test combines immunoassay and chromatography and produces a result from venous whole blood within 15 minutes at the point of care with a proven high degree of sensitivity to IgM and IgG of 96.2% and a high level of specificity of 97.9% with the test remaining unresponsive to antibodies of other coronaviruses (HKU1, OC43, NL63, 229E) or chlamydia and mycoplasmas.
