NOWEDA Board Member and Managing Director of IhreApotheken visited MEDICE

Dr. Michael Kuck, board member of NOWEDA, and Simon Bücher, Managing Director of IhreApotheken, met at the headquarters of MEDICE Health Family for round table talks in mid-February. Together with the two managing partners Dr. Katja Pütter-Ammer, Dr. Dr. Richard Ammer and the managing director Dr. Uwe Baumann as well as Jan Linnemann (Director Channel Distribution), they discussed a stronger cooperation between the companies involved.

During a guided tour of the location, Dr. Dr. Richard Ammer provided information about the production site in Iserlohn. During a subsequent presentation of NOWEDA and IhreApotheken, existing synergies were underlined and perspectives for future cooperation, especially from the point of view of digital solutions and sustainability, were discussed.

In a detailed discussion, all participants clarified the relevance of local pharmacies as an essential cornerstone of healthcare for patients. The problem of drug supply bottlenecks, which is widely discussed in this context, was addressed in detail from the perspective of political framework conditions.

Beyond local patient care, the discussion participants saw great potential in the further development of digital health applications. NOWEDA as well as IhreApotheken and MEDICE see many opportunities for intensifying existing cooperation in this area. From their strong position, all three companies therefore want to push their strategic cooperation in the field of development and marketing of digital health applications.

The direct outcome of the talks was the plan to further develop the current marketing opportunities for non-prescription products and medicines (OTC) via IhreApotheken.de.

In the end, all parties expressed their appreciation for the constructive discussion and a clear interest in further strengthening the existing collaboration.
