Strengthened through the menopause with the femfeel app.
The menopause marks a new stage in life for many women - and offers the opportunity to focus more consciously on their own health and individual needs. In order to provide women with the best possible support and further improve patient care, the MEDICE Health Family develops clinically validated multimodal health solutions based on its pharmacological expertise in the interaction of pharmaceuticals, digital solutions and nutritional concepts. In the area of women's health, the Health Family offers a portfolio of medicines, including Remifemin for the treatment of menopausal symptoms, as well as the femfeel app, a digital, evidence-based support programme that helps women to improve their well-being during the menopause.
Together with Pronova BKK, the innovative care offering is intended to provide women with holistic support during this important phase of their lives and improve their well-being.
Digital support for greater well-being
The femfeel app offers scientifically based content on nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management in short, practical units that can be easily integrated into everyday life. This offer is supplemented by a knowledge library, complaint tracking and personalised evaluations. The aim of femfeel is to encourage women to embrace the menopause and support them in actively taking control of their quality of life. This is to be achieved by establishing healthy habits and lifestyle changes. They can demonstrably help to alleviate the more than 30 possible menopausal symptoms, including depressive moods, hot flushes and sleep disorders.
Pronova BKK policyholders can use the femfeel app free of charge for twelve months and also receive access to interactive webinars from experts who provide in-depth knowledge about the menopause.
"With femfeel, we want to accompany and support women during the menopause. Together with Pronova BKK, we are providing them with a digital service that conveys knowledge, provides guidance and encourages them to actively take care of their own well-being," says Dr Katja Pütter-Ammer, Managing Partner of MEDICE.
"There is often an imbalance in healthcare between the sexes - often to the detriment of women. As a health insurance company, we are therefore committed to a sustainable improvement in women's health. We are delighted to expand our range of services with femfeel to include a pioneering and, above all, everyday service that fits into an important phase of life for our female policyholders," explains Andrea Kalkofen, Care Manager at Pronova BKK. ‘Many female patients are stuck in a care gap with their health issues - for example, when it comes to menopausal symptoms,’ adds Joseph Meiser from Pronova BKK. "That's why we are right in the middle of thinking about women's health holistically and closing these gaps as best we can with solutions like femfeel. The app is a relevant next building block for us to further develop care digitally, close to everyday life and with real added value," continues the digital health expert.
