The corona pandemic has also had an impact on sports clubs: As a result of the temporary contact restrictions and the associated discontinuation of sports activities, membership fees are lacking in many places in the already tight coffers. Sport plays an important role in the physical and mental well-being of young people. With this in mind, the local pharmacies are also committed to ensuring the best possible health for young athletes. Together with the Easy pharmacies, MEDICE therefore placed July 2022 under the motto "Win together!".

Under the slogan "Why should we support your club?", MEDICE and Easy pharmacies called on people to send in pictures, videos or a meaningful text about the team. Prizes worth more than 40,000 euros were up for grabs, such as 140 team sets with drinking bottles and bodices as well as well-equipped first-aid kits, with articles from MEDICE, Wepa and Viatris. The prizes will help the clubs to expand their children's and youth work again in the coming years.

In total, the organizers received entries from 744 teams from all over Germany. MEDICE's managing directors, Dr. Katja Pütter-Ammer and Dr. Richard Ammer, expressed their delight: "With this campaign, we would like to express our appreciation to the sports clubs - for the performance and resilience they showed during the pandemic. As a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, the health of our current and future generations is close to our hearts. We would therefore like to reward the associations for their great work and perseverance. We are therefore delighted with this successful campaign in cooperation with Easy pharmacies."

Promoting sports involvement is an integral part of social sustainability at MEDICE. This includes supporting sporting events and clubs. According to the motto: "MEDICE - From Generations for Generations", the family-owned company is all the more pleased to be involved in the promotion of young talents through the successful competition campaign.
