MEDICE receives special approval for the self-testing of lay persons

Since the first wave of Corona, MEDICE has been distributing the SARS-CoV-2 Antibody Rapid Test and additionally the Antigen Rapid Test since its availability in May 2020. Now MEDICE has received approval for self-use of the Antigen Rapid Test and can thus make a decisive contribution to meet the necessary demand.

The test is easy and comfortable to use, as a nasal swab at a depth of only 2.5 cm is sufficient. The test result is then available within a few minutes with very high accuracy. In addition, unlike many other tests, the MEDICE Self-Test is also suitable for detecting the new mutations, e.g. from the UK and South Africa.

The self-test is available as of calendar week 13 exclusively in pharmacies and can be ordered directly from the MEDICE sales force or the MEDICE Customer Service Centre while supplies last (toll-free service hotline: 0800 724 04 52 / e-mail: verkauf@medice.de).
